Himalayan Salt Coarse



These protein bars are the perfect pre-workout snack… and they might have you reaching for more

INGREDIENTS

Base

  • 25 g coconut flour*
  • 20 g vegan salted caramel protein
  • 10 g peanut butter*
  • 5 g natural sweetener (try stevia* or coconut sugar)
  • 75 ml almond milk

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 40 g peanut butter
  • 10 g salted caramel protein powder
  • 5 g coconut oil* melted
  • 5 g natural sweetener (try Stevia or coconut sugar)
  • Pinch of salt

Toppings

  • 50 g dark chocolate* melted
  • 10 g coconut oil* melted

METHOD

  • 1. Combine base ingredients in a bowl until dough forms.
  • 2. Press dough into silicon baking tray and freeze while making peanut butter layer.
  • 3. Combine peanut butter layer ingredients in a bowl and spread over base layer. Freeze for one hour.
  • 4. Remove bars from freezer and slice before combining topping ingredients and dipping bars into chocolate.
  • 5. Optional: drizzle with peanut butter and crushed nuts.

This recipe is gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free

Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw almonds�
- 1 cup mixed nuts of choice
- ½ cup raisins
- ½ cup currants
- 1 cup Medjool dates
- 2 tablespoons crystallised ginger
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1-2 tbsp Spiced Cacao Chai Spice Mix, to coat
- 1-2 tbsp Xylitol
Method
1. In a high-speed blender or food processor, add your nuts and blend until crumbly.
2. Add all other ingredients (except Chai spice mix and xylitol) and blend until a thick batter remains. If the batter is too thick, add some water/liquid of choice and re-blend.
3. Transfer your batter to a large mixing bowl. In a separate small bowl, add your chai mix and xylitol and mix well.
4. Using your hands, form small balls with the batter. Roll each ball in the Chai/Xylitol mixture. Repeat until all the balls are coated. Transfer to a lined plate and refrigerate until firm.
