Vegan Chocolate Valentines Day Donuts

Nothing says self-love more than whipping up a batch of delicious, sweet chocolate donuts. These dreamy donuts are vegan, refined sugar free and perfect to bake on Valentines day!

INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 70 g self-raising flour*
- 50 g almond meal*
- 30 g coconut flour*
- 20 g cacao powder*
- 60 g monk fruit sweetener*
- 1/2 tsp bi-carb soda*
- 1/2 tsp baking powder*
Wet Ingredients
- 80 g unsweetened apple sauce
- 120 ml unsweetened almond milk
Glazed Ingredients
- 180 g dark chocolate*
- 1 tbsp sprinkles optional
METHOD

1. Preheat oven to 175C

2. Combine all wet donut ingredients in a bowl

3. Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients bowl and mix until well combined (batter will be thick)

4. Spoon into silicon doughnut pan and gently flatten batter with damp fingers until evenly distributed

5. Bake for 10-13 minutes

6. Allow to cool completely in pan before removing from pan

7. To make glaze, melt chocolate in the microwave in 30s intervals until smooth

8. Dip each doughnut into the chocolate and sprinkle with sprinkles
