We’ve all got our faves when it comes to nuts: be it the humble almond, the rich pine nut or the homely chestnut. But if macadamias aren’t in your top five at least, we’re sorry to say but you’re living life backwards.

Allow us to explain…

A homegrown Aussie bushfood

Macadamia trees are Australian natives, thriving best in Queensland and northern New South Wales. With the nuts grown in our very own backyard, they come to you fresher, support local farmers and national industries and, as natives, do not impact their environment negatively.

A creamy taste sensation

Macadamias are the creamiest of nuts, making them delicious as a snack on their own—and you won’t need many to feel full! Their strong and sweet flavour also makes them ideal for baking into cakes and cookies, oven-roasting for crumbling, pureeing into savoury sauces or of course, covering in chocolate.

Stacked with vitamins

Macadamia nuts contain many of the most important essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A and B, iron, zinc, folate, calcium, magnesium, protein, healthy fats, and powerful antioxidants like polyphenols and amino acids. Their richness in fibre and minerals actively promotes heart health, and can lower cholesterol and blood pressure. All in one tiny ball of goodness!

A beneficial oil

Macadamia oil is a fab addition to both your kitchen and bathroom cupboards. In cooking, the oil is highly valued, its natural fats and nutty taste making it a delicious alternative to vegetable oil with a higher smoking point than olive oil, so you don’t burn off those vitamins.

Macadamia oil is also a useful natural beauty product, used in shampoo to strengthen and smooth hair follicles, or applied straight to the skin to moisturise, soften skin and heal scars. You might smell a bit nutty for a while, but we’re OK with that.

So if the not so humble macadamia nut wasn’t your queen already, she’s gotta be now. Bow down to the regal creaminess, and behold its endless health benefits!
